Episode 3: I was pretty devastated when Prop 8 passed. How did you feel?

Carlos and I were really upset when we heard that the ban on gay marriage had passed in California. How did you react?

The fact that religious nuts spent millions to deny me my rights is a testament to how far we have yet to travel on the road to equality. Permalink Reply by luis pinon on July 17, 2009 at 8:44am: prop 8 seemed like a monster praying on the weak, confusing people, and misdirecting them. We where trying to fight fair in an unfair battle. Part of me had a feeling it would past just by the way it was being run, but that didn't stop me from trying, i quess maybe I didn't try hard enough. I don't plan on getting married to a man, but for me it was about equality, unstanding. Prop 8 truly showed me how much ignorance there is.; ▶ Reply to This
